Meet Isabella Koepf, a holistic trauma therapist in Washington State

What is your current role as a mental health professional in Washington?

I am a licensed mental health counselor associate working in my private practice called Rise Beyond Trauma Center.

Where do you provide services?

Telehealth only in Washington state.

What kind of services do you provide? Any special populations or certifications?

I provide counseling to individuals, couples, and families. I specialize in trauma recovery, specifically working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood trauma, and PTSD. I also take a holistic approach using Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Lifespan Integration, and parts work (IFS).

How does your service help people live mentally healthy lives?

My services utilize a holistic approach to help people find balance in their body, mind, and spirit. By working from a somatic approach through the body, I help clients heal their nervous system so that they can break out of fight-or-flight and survival mode and find greater emotional regulation and overall wellbeing.

What kind of people do you love working with?

I love working with all trauma survivors but I have a soft spot for working with women who are stuck in patterns of caretaking and over giving in relationships. I also enjoy working with people who are interested in a holistic approach and are looking to move beyond traditional talk therapy.

Why did you decide to become a mental health professional?

I entered the field of mental health out of my own healing journey from childhood wounds and toxic relationships as an adult. I worked for years as a yoga therapist, nutritionist, herbalist, and Ayurvedic practitioner before becoming a mental health counselor. In my prior holistic work, I realized that there was only so far we could go without addressing the deeper wounds leading to current health issues.

What do you wish people knew about services with you?

I have a unique skillset that brings in somatic therapy, trauma processing techniques, and spiritual elements when desired.

What is your favorite way to take care of your mental health?

My favorite way to take care of my mental health is through regular yoga practice, meditation, studying philosophy, and connecting with community and close friends.

Isabella is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington State. Her journey to becoming a therapist was deeply personal. Like many, she struggled to make sense of a difficult childhood and painful relationships, which led her to confront and heal from her own experiences of trauma and abuse. She knows how overwhelming the healing process can feel – but she also knows that change is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re navigating daily stress, big life decisions, or the weight of past trauma, She’s here to support you. Her approach is rooted in somatic therapy, a mind-body-spirit method that goes beyond talk therapy to help release the nervous system patterns that keep us feeling stuck. By working with both the body and mind, we can move beyond repetitive thought cycles and reconnect with your intuition and inner strength. She also utilizes Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Lifespan Integration, and parts work for trauma processing and Gottman Method with couples. In addition to being a licensed counselor, She is also trained in yoga therapy, nutrition, Western herbalism, and Ayurveda. She loves weaving in these holistic approaches when they resonate with you, creating a path to healing that fits your unique needs. Outside of her work, she finds joy in nature, yoga, dancing, reading, and cooking. She also has a deep love for spirituality and philosophy, which led her to spending eight years living abroad, including six years studying in India. Healing is a journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone. She would be honored to support you every step of the way.
